About Information Technology Assistance Program (InfoTAP)

Meet the InfoTAP Team:

Mary Gross -- Director
Mary has been working in the technology field for the last 20 years and has been a web design consultant for more than ten years. At InfoTAP Mary works closely with nonprofit organizations to help them develop strategic technology plans, identify their short- and long-term needs as well as provide technical leadership in the nonprofit community. As a web professional, she has managed the development of websites for public agencies, nonprofits, and small and large for profit organizations, including SanDiegoZoo.org, Sunkist.com, ReadyPacProduce.com; California Avocado Commission, ElMonterey.com and more.  Mary is a specialist in information architecture and user-based design. Her design philosophy is that a successful site enables users to get to the information they need. All elements of design should support usability as well as further the objectives and mission of the organization.

Mary's background has always focused on information dissemination starting with her career with United Way of San Diego County/INFO LINE (now 211SanDiego). Her 13-year career as United Way’s INFO LINE/Resource Center Director and the creation of InformSanDiego led her to a private sector Internet career with Interactivate, Inc. as Vice President of Client Services.
